Gee Bees Media
GBM technology | Camperdown is a company owned and operated by Lisa and Glen Bernoth in Camperdown, Victoria. ACN 613 191 861. We work with organisations to deliver tailored media and communications solutions. Our practical experience provides the basis for sound advice, support and project delivery.
Glen started his career as a journalist at Western District Newspapers in September 1999 before joining Fairfax at The Warrnambool Standard in January 2004. He held the role of Chief of Staff in Warrnambool for several years, before becoming the Night Editor in 2008.
In 2010, Glen left his love of the newsroom behind to take a Local Government opportunity as the Manager of Community Relations with Corangamite Shire. The role was responsible for internal and external communication, customer service, consultation, community planning and engagement, arts, culture and events. During his time in Local Government, Glen was elected to the board of LGPro, the peak body for Local Government professionals in Victoria.
Alongside his other commitments, Glen taught media relations to 2nd year students at Deakin University in Warrnambool – delivering lectures and taking tutorials on a sessional basis for two years.
In July 2013, Glen took up a position in small business as General Manager of Koallah Farm & Simply Free Range. The company produces and processes free-range, grass-fed meat for wholly owned butcher shops in Melbourne. It also provides an online retail shop and delivery service.
Gee Bees Media was established in May 2015 to bring Glen’s experience and learnings together into a personalised media and communications service. Having worked on both sides of media relations and within the corporate, public and small business sectors, he is passionate about helping others achieve their business goals and ambitions.
